Somehow I think that something is wrong, comparing body and legs. You should take care of that and normalize it.
Else is great. Somehow I think you did it from scratch, even if the head of bandit looks familiar...
He means HIS left part of the chest covers the part between arm and body
I doubt his arm is so fat

compare it with your own arm (where the arm grows out of your shoulder (well, below the shoulder))
In the bandit it takes up about half of the body's height, in reality... mine for instance just takes up a quarter or a fifth.
(Oh wait a sec... LF2 proportions. But I still think arms are a little too fat (where they grow into the body).)

just noticed that the neck is weird/missing. try putting the head a few pixels more right-down.
IMO the neck is all right. You aren't always supposed to see it.

i should increase what? as "turn up a notch" means the same as increase a little.. but may i ask what? you mean increase the sprite generally or something special?
hm.. i dunno the glasses are something "bandit-like" and i wanted him to be instantly remembered as bandit
