this is right, another contest.
this time though you arent limited to any rules EXCEPT OF ONE:
the game must be retro-related.
by that i mean 16bit, 8bit or older. the theme can be interpreted how you want, you can make anything from a new, fresh remix and design of an old game (eg. new super mario bros) to making a new game (or a game that came out new) in retro-style (eg call of duty in gameboy style).

there will be no deadline yet as i dont know hos fast and how many participants we will get.

Can we use GM8.0 pro for this contest?
I am just learning it but I can make just a small stage.

yes you can, you can use any program(ing language) you want

I will try my best to make a small platformer stage.
And can we use the ripped sprites?

you can, but you have to mention it. and i guess that wont be a big plus for your game, making own sprites will get you more votes i guess. (except if your spriting skills were horrible)

I have will have enough time to do it then I will probably make my own.

but you could ask other people to team up with them (sonic boom hint hint ;D)
