I totally did, but my dream spaceship is just like my dream car;

I want it to get me from 'a' to 'b' without breaking or causing me to die.

In regards to the wormhole discussion, what's the possibility of a stable
wormhole?

BP mentioned the idea that they require energy to exist, I'm simply
entertaining the idea that for one reason or another the wormhole is
self-sustaining.

thoughts?

lol the wormholes r like intergalactic shortcuts. Any is there any probs while going through them?

What will man do if the pollution rate on the earth leads to mass extinction of all life?

They'd go into space, to colonize other planets :)

RE: Sci-Fi Discussions - Reaper - 06-09-2010

I believe humanity has a higher chance of surving on this planet than on some others.
Take the mars. It has an atmosphere containing around 95% CO² if I'm not mistaken. Temperatures go from around -100 degrees to +140 or something. I can't be bothered to check the exact stuff, but anyway. Though it is possible to life there (with the right technology), we will really have to screw up here to make it worse than on the mars.
I'm not saying that we won't extinct life(hey let's burn the rainforest and watch what will happen. And while we are already at it, why not using the ocean as an oil-storage) , no matter what we do, but if we have technology suitable to colonize other planets, we should be able to get CO² out of the air or whatever the problem is then.
