Agreed that old posts are fun to read and contribute to the forum in one way or the other.
Also, offtopic but why not care about the trade and commissions forum? There were threads for it right, but nobody cares now?
This is the reason why Hangout Area should be called Forum Games, because due to this new name, it is greatly confused and compared with General Discussion; back then, things were fine and it wasn't so nitpicky for these kind of things.. Also to be honest now, lets just accept the fact that one time or the other, the forum was productive and etc., it still is, but on a smaller scale, and now, entertainment and fun is what basically keeps us going. So i suggest we should rather keep it the way it is.

@MangaD, Well what you say is in fact correct. Coming up with good and nice quotes are deservable (don't know if that is a word though
) of having post counts increased. But true since the lack of moderators, it may be difficult to remove the time pass quotes from the good and educative ones. But that doesn't mean we should take away the whole thread to Hangout Area. I myself don't post any quotes there but it seems the thread itself should deserve some credits instead being moved to another section where there is no post count.

There will never be a conclusion lol essentially both the sections are same if we go by their respective titles.
Renamimg Hangout Area to "Forum Games" would be fine and then there won't be confusion.
But yeah, overall I do agree, birthday thread kinda suits in a "hangouts area" more than "general discussion" as we aren't really discussing anything at all there.

I don't think anybody takes post-count or the title beneath the stars seriously. This one for example has the Experienced member title even though his posts were not from these kind of threads you're mentioning. I don't mean to compliment, and not going far, but you're an example of a member with low post-count but was fast to be a member of a high value to the community.
A lot of the serious threads in General Discussion, e.g: 'real Fighting', I think would fit now in the new Philosophy/Life sub-forum. But yes, maybe for starters the mods can disposal the last few senseless posts in the Quotes thread along with mine and Faker's :P

He is not spamming in Suggestion.
I would understand if you say "I care about spam" . Thats understandable but you still add those stars which means you care about someone getting exp 3x times faster than you.
