Imagine XYZ killed a bugbear with one morning star, and he is lying on the field (dead) Can we take his weapon while playing?

Yes, sure. That's also loot. Except it's better to pick up weapons when combat's over rather than during it, since it provokes AoO (Attack Of Opportunity).
