i like that update!
looks very cool. need to have more defined shading on pants IMO.
like more light then dark, and make the light part lighter or the dark part darker (not both)

i still reckon this is your best sprite.
your other ones seem to be just sort of trialing different styles.
the last one, his sprites look too compacted, by which i mean on his chest, too small muscles. also his hair is a bit weird
