BTW ill join

What he meant was, it doesn't have to be specifically themed. Like you don't have to do a certain style.

You can do whatever you like, so no rules were broken :P.
I hope you understand what it means now,

Eddie

K, you lazy bastards. I'll extend the deadline till the 30th since I see some genuine interest here.

Phil asked me whether collaborations are allowed. Since I seldom do things solo myself, collabs are fine in my book.

Now, GO CREATE!

RE: Contest #12 - EXE Skinning Competition - Xidd - 08-15-2010

yay i may actually have time to finish now

a few more "teasers"

loading screen isnt real progress - i had the idea of counting the files in data.txt and figuring out how the progress from that but string operations in asm are EVIL Evil Evil so its like the windows xp loading bar :p

main menu uses left/right keys to navigate

This is totally wicked o.o ~ Marshall

you should really consider turning the items at the bottom of the circle upside down so we can read them normally

RE: Contest #12 - EXE Skinning Competition - Xidd - 08-20-2010

the wheel kinda rotates - turning them upside down doesnt make sense in this case

I guess this was the last day I could work on my entry.
That's why I now present to you the skin "Blood red moon":
mode selection (Click to View)
character selection (Click to View)
I've also added _s bitmaps. You may use them, but you may as well leave them as they are. It's just a bit more pleasant to the eye.

RE: Contest #12 - EXE Skinning Competition - Silverthorn - 08-31-2010

In the void of the night, not a single noise was to be heard. Well, not completely. A soft snore flew through the air, indicating a lazy foxy's peaceful sleep. The question was: would it remain that peaceful?
Deeply hidden inside the shadows, three shapes started to appear. These were no ordinary shapes. In fact, gradually materializing over time, they resembled a muscular man, a cataclysmal cat, and a fateful phoenix. The trio, slowly emerging from the shadows, walked towards the sleeping one. Shortly after, he was surrounded by them. The phoenix lifted his wing and, as upon command, the man dropped five pictures onto foxy. The snore ceased, yet foxy did not wake up.
"Well, in that case", the phoenix started to speak, "we will have use different methods."
And upon these words, the cat dropped an application onto foxy's chest and buried him.

So, this afternoon, I remembered that this contest is (finally) coming to an end. However, I just could not let it fly by just as that. In a moment of aberration, I IM'd Phil and Eddie if they're up for this. Fortunately, they were; and so we did this one within one evening/night. I am extremely happy that we achieved a somewhat acceptable result within a couple of hours and I hope you will enjoy the following as well ;)
