I think you should remove the glowing and just leave that knife/claw whatever. Also the pants really don't fit the him make the pants red.

I agree with the glowing except when attacking someone
But we like the idea of a knife for a hand
I shall think about the pants....?

Nice idea for the character,sprites need work such as shading and what not.
Looking forward for some improvements.
