RE: Animation [The Onion] (beta stages) - bashscrazy - 04-19-2011

*UPDATE*

Here's how much I have so far.. Arms I got lazy and just rotated them unlike the legs which are FbF so ye

CLICKY HERE TO CHECK IT OUT

I'll add more scribbles on the chalkboard as well has the guy writing more before getting RUDELY interrupted.

Still on for whoever wants to do voices. (*will not accept n00b voice overs just yet* - till I become desperate)

Really lazy - to fix the walk cycle and make it look nicer - yes I know he like "glitches" and springs forwards and back - Maybe I'll fix and adjust it when I complete his whole body and add colour

Animation is very smooth :P I like

Depending on how realistic you want it to be, I'd decrease the legs' and arms' moving speed, perhaps also bend the arms a little (currently they look a little too stiff - try walking like that) - the chalkdude is pretty awesome though.

Good work so far!

Looks very exciting!
I would love to do one of the voices, I'll PM the files to you sooner or later, alright?

You might also add some "camerawork", because the whole animation in the same perspective might get a bit boring. On top of that it could also save you some work, as you don't have to animate both characters for the whole video.

Also, is it possible for you to convert the finished thing into a video file and upload it to YouTube? That way we can also put the video on Freshies. Which would be like... extremely fresh!

Thanks! :D I tried bending it, it looked okayish - And then I realized the arms weren't in sync with the legs so I changed that and re-synced it then his arms were moving way to fast.
So then I just shortened the length of movement but didn't add any bend - it still looks much better
but just like my TEDDY BEAR WALK CYCLE the arms move off their sockets all the time :s

I'll see what I can do.
They will probably all be part of the same perspective but just zoomed in on faces maybe.

Yeah of course. That's one of the reasons I'm making this animation for ;)
Practice, Fun, and hopefully if I get enough views on more of my vids on youtube I can become a partner and get paid! :D

RE: Animation [The Onion] (beta stages) - bashscrazy - 04-22-2011

Here is another BETA look at it I guess - The drawing arm changes sizes like all my other work does xD and the legs in the walking are weird - but hardly noticeable so ye and the chalk writing/drawing looks really retarded (but in an aspect it looks like a duck! so I guess I can shape it more like one and it can be pay homage to Alectric since he made the comic xD! so I guess it works out in the end ROFL! (I had a really tough time with the CHALK DRAWING THING)

RE: Animation - Silverthorn - 04-22-2011

Screw the different arm-sizes -- it's awesome as heck! Because, really, the current style you're bringing into this one makes it hilarious. You got my sign of approval :D

I reminded Lauli to check you out, but I guess he just forgot it... :(
I'd do the voices myself, if my english wasn't so bad :p
