RE: Character sprite concepts - Rhino.Freak - 04-24-2015 To answer the questions, here are my thoughts : 1) #4 2) No 3) Yes, it'd be a nice touch but should be subtle 4) #3 ofcourse, he needs to look wildish 5) I like #1 but it'll be awesome if his hair gets slightly darker like #3 by transforming. 6) Yes, I can't imagine him without his armor 7) Subtle, yeah. As for Mono, I will count his post as a +1 for the weapon in every form and give a +1 for 'no cape'; As for Rhino.Freak, could you please state your opinion on cape and weapon? I was going to say "no weapons", but you didn't specify his fighting style yet... Also, are you going to change most of his special attacks after each transformation? RE: Character sprite concepts - Rhino.Freak - 04-24-2015 I don't mind cape at all, but I feel since he's not supposed to be the main enemy initially, he shouldn't look so royally.. just my opinion. Don't mind much about cape at all. I think he suits well with the on-hand weapon like Mono drew in his 1st and even 2nd form.. But later, its better if he doesn't have any weapon in his 3rd form, he should basically even get rid of his cape (if he has one) and become a raw powerhouse that relies on its brute strength than weapons and stuff. We talked about this roughly, only.. moves should be in a similar style for each transformation, but there will always be some changes. The changes should fit the type of mask he's wearing, so if his first mask will boost speed/evasiveness, he'll use this new speed to his advantage in his moveset. If he gets rid of the weapon in 3th form because all stats are boosted, he'll get a diffirent type of melee attack, basic attack etc naturally. So you'll end up reworking +140 sprites, twice, for something that will probably go unnoticed when playing. Using flash/macromedia is easier but still, yeah, that's bothersome since it gets bigger everytime.
