A quick look at your surroundings reveals that the estate is actually located at the edge of a forest, with it being at its south end. (That means the forest is north of the estate.) Further to the east there seems to be a river, albeit quite some distance away. The west does not bear any special landmarks, just a few trees along the grassy way. After a lengthy imprisonment of about 3 years, this is finally a good opportunity to leave this place behind once and for all...
Which direction do you flee in? South is also an option but that would require you to walk around the estate and might get you noticed.

Due to popular demand (= Simon), each character's skills have now been divided into three skill trees. Every character has his own skill trees. When you want to use your skill point to learn a new skill, you will be able to choose the skill tree the learned skill shall be from.
However, in due time, when the players have more skills, skill points will not learn you new skills anymore, only upgrade existing ones. But it'll take a while until it comes that far!
