RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure: The Return! - Bamboori - 09-05-2014 should we heal sirfrog a bit, just in case? RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure: The Return! - TheNave - 09-05-2014 k, doing that RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure: The Return! - Simoneon - 09-05-2014 East it is! RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure: The Return! - SirFrog - 09-05-2014 Yes, being healed would be nice, I'd love to survive the next trap. Also, I might be overthinking this, but I'm thinking about the previous sign. I'm thinking that the cold torch might be enchanted to hide things from us rather than show us stuff. I suggest we experiment how it reacts to fire magic. Preferably at a safe distance. But either way, we probably should be on the lookout for ordinary physical traps. As for the direction, I'm okay with any, really. RE: RPG Adventure The Return! - Ramond - 09-05-2014 Nave casts Healing (Level 1) (HP +50) (-15 MP) on SirFrog! (RST Roll: 10) He replenishes 67 health points! SirFrog: Ok, we should tread more carefully from now on. Blue Phoenix: Let's go back first, I guess? SirFrog: Just a second, I'd like to try something... SirFrog casts Spark (15 fire damage) (-8 MP) on Blue Torch (0 MDF)! (DMG Roll: 11) Nave: You lunatic! I'm holding this freaking thing in my hand!! Bamboori: Relax, it seems like nothing happened... SirFrog: I'm afraid so. *makes a grim expression* The group slowly returns to the intersection and decides to head east. Nave's paranoia causes him to keep looking at the ceiling while he walks, while the others carefully examine the area in front of them for any trap mechanisms. After a left turn they have a seemingly long corridor in front of them. Just a short walk later Nave gasps. Nave: Oh no! Blue Phoenix: What? What is it? Nave: Hmm... nothing, actually. I just thought I sensed something, but it's gone. Simon: That's because you're delusional. snorsorbet: Cut it out, Simon. Nevertheless the group decides to raise their alert level by a little more as they proceed to walk the corridor to its end. Finally they make it to a left turn. Drahcir: Listen. Blue Phoenix: What? Drahcir: Shh! The group freezes. Not a single sound can be heard. snorsorbet: *whispers* What's up? Drahcir: It's quiet. Too quiet. I don't like this. Nave: Well, what do you expect! It's not like humans or monsters will scream out to try to attract our attention or anything. Drahcir: This silence is unusual. As if the walls would absorb all the sonic signals. The group looks around a little. Nothing happens. Simon: Ok, you're just imagining it. Blue Phoenix: I wouldn't put that observation down beneath the dust though, we should be really careful. Bamboori: Careful? Huh. Looks like that guy already ran out of traps or something? Hehe. SirFrog: Don't jinx it. A crumbling sound rings out. The earth starts moving, SirFrog: And the irony strikes yet again. Nave: Aaaaaah!!!!!! We're all going to die!!! And only because I let my eyes go of the stupid ceiling once you started talking!! A very heavy grey object lands on the ground in front of them with a massive thud. Likewise, the same thing repeats one second later behind them. A growling noise can be heard. Blue Phoenix: This isn't good. LISTEN UP Those "M1", "M2" and "R" indicators next to the character status now show your position on the battlefield. Since you're surrounded (back and front), there are two melee fronts. M1 cannot attack M2 and vice versa. If one of the melee fronts is down, the ranged party members are vulnerable and attackable from there! You can still freely switch your positions with your turn action (however, the switch happens BEFORE your action - consider that when making a melee attack and changing front in the same turn). RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure: The Return! - Simoneon - 09-05-2014 Snor and me attack Stone Gargoyle 2
RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure: The Return! - Bamboori - 09-05-2014 stone gargoyles sound like they have a strong physical defense. ill shoot an arrow at gargoyle 1 and drahcir will smite that same one. sirfrog, i guess analyzing could help us. edit: about cleave and power thrust: who has these skills? if everybody can use them, how do we level them up? RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure: The Return! - TheNave - 09-05-2014 I'd use a dark bolt because it's my strongest spell but I have a feeling gargoyle's are weak to light... so HolyMotherfuckingBolt at Gargoyle 1! (if dead the other one obviously) also because I think we'll frequently face them in this cave we should analyze them once now aaand something seems to affect our natural senses! it might be the torch or maybe the place or the enemys are enchanted... after the fight is over I'll try to focus my sensing ability on the walls, the cieling, the floor, the gargoyle corpses and the torch... if I sense absolutely nothing at any of those objects it might be the source of the enchantment RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure: The Return! - SirFrog - 09-05-2014 As the clever guy, I'll cast Analyze on any one of the Gargoyles.
