RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure: The Return! - Ramond - 09-24-2014 SirFrog acts quickly and launches a Fire Bolt (-12 MP) at the stubborn fresh ice wall. Bamboori, Simon and Drahcir charge at the wall immediately upon the fire bolt's impact and try to crush it to pieces. Blue Phoenix tries to sneak away, but fails. Luckily the group is able to smash the wall down with their combined effort (Blue Phoenix's failed sneak attack was a further distraction for the wall) and the path is cleared as millions of tiny ice crystals are propelled into every direction. With a feeling that there's nothing more to explore at this dead end, the group quickly moves back to the first intersection they come across. SirFrog: Well. How foolish of us. Should have been more careful. Nave: How are we supposed to be more careful? None of us could have known or expected something like that to happen. Bamboori: It's magic, really. No stopping it. Simon: So this was a false path as well? How the Yi-nyinja are we supposed to know where to go without trial and error? Drahcir: Wait... what the heck is Yi-nyinja? Simon: *quickly raises his katana towards Drahcir's neck* Do not even dare to defile the sacred name of the Master! Drahcir: Woah, relax, dude. It's ok. I didn't know. Simon puts his katana back into its sheath. Simon: I'll be keeping an eye on you, unworthy one. Drahcir: *grimly laughs* Book of Knowledge (Hints of Interest: - Stat poins left: -) Skill points left: -) {} Drahcir - HP: 128/146-6, MP: 10/15 (3x LoH, 1x Smite) {} Bamboori - HP: 107/115-3, MP: 11/11 (Arrows: 15) {} SirFrog - HP: 79/87-2, MP: 84/128-12 {} Blue Phoenix - HP: 84/93-3, MP: 11/11 {} Nave - HP: 81/94-4, MP: 56/127 {} snorsorbet - HP: 105/113-1, MP: 62/62 {} Phil - HP: 84/100-1, MP: 6/11 {} Simon - HP: 81/94-4, MP: 5/5 Gold coins: 72 LFE Kingdom (drafted version) (Click to View) ![]() (press F5 to update the image) It's dark. RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure: The Return! - Ramond - 09-24-2014 Bamboori: Let us head straight, o fellow adventurers! I'm sure that is the path of enlightenment... Blue Phoenix: Yus! Simon: Totally. Let us go. SirFrog: I have a bad feeling about this 'enlightenment' of his... As they move forward, snorsorbet shudders, but nobody notices it. They come to a right turn and lastly to a dead end. However, not an empty one. Bamboori: Look over there! At the end of the corridor, a sword is stuck in a blue rock, and a sign stands next to it. Drahcir: Could it... could it really be... the EXCALIBUR?! Bambori: I am in awe! Bleu Phoenix: And what does the sign read? Sign: The one who is able to remove the sword from its sheath will be rewarded with wealth and strength. Simon: Oooh, let me, let me! Simon, as the most agile of the group, is the first to reach the sword and give it a mighty pull. It doesn't budge. Simon: Hnngh! Blue Phoenix: Just a second, buddy, you're straining yourself. Here, let me lend you a helping han... hrnnngh...!!!! Drahcir: Whatever's up, guys? Step aside, let me handle this. Simon, Blue Phoenix and Drahcir simultaneously try to pull the sword out of the stone with all their force. Phil slowly moves towards them and starts meowing. Drahcir: Hungh! Come on, guys, help us out here! Just as the others attempt to move towards them, a click is heard. They step back instantly. Drahcir, Blue Phoenix and Simon, however, find themselves unable to free themselves from their own grip on the sword's handle. Blue Phoenix: STUPID TRA- He cannot complete this sentence as the floor beneath them starts to drop in an instant. At the same moment, they are released from the sword, but solid ground or walls are nowhere in reach. They helplessly fall into the pit that opened below them and the sword. Blue Phoenix's scream is cut off by another platform which is inserted into the pit from the above at the same time. Bamboori: NOOO!!!! SirFrog: That was a really stupid move! Nave falls onto his knees, eyes closed, shivering, moving his upper body back and forth, his hands folded and leaning on the front of his head. SirFrog, Bamboori and snorsorbet stand in shock for a few more seconds. Just as SirFrog wants to kneel down next to Nave to comfort him, he starts to murmur. Nave: It's ok, it's all ok, they're alive, I can sense it, they're here, they're not gone, ... SirFrog: A... are you all right, Nave? Nave: Yes, yes, darn, I'm all right. I hope so are the others. Bamboori: You're... saying... they're still alive? Are you sure about that? Bamboori grabs Nave by his shoulders and shakes him. Bamboori: ARE - YOU - ABSO - LUTI - SURE? Nave: Yes, I'm positive man, they're ok. Suddenly snorsorbet cries out. snorsorbet: Phil! SirFrog: Did Phil fall into the pit as well? snorsorbet: Impossible... cats, especially snorbet cats, have supernatural reflexes, he wouldn't have been caught off guard like this... SirFrog: Maybe he followed them on purpose? snorsorbet: We'll never know... *sniff* Nave: Nonsense! I can sense Phil down there as well. They didn't fall far. But - uh oh - I sense some other evil beings down there as well... SirFrog: We need to help them! Bamboori: How can we get down there? There's no switch this time around... just a plain dead end. snorsorbet: We'll have to find a way! Blue Phoenix: Ugh... Drahcir: Yes, it's been a rough landing, but now get off me! Drahcir, Blue Phoenix and Simon get up and look around. They are situated in a rather large square room with a few blue torches on the walls that illuminate the room in an eerie blue tone. They also notice Phil on the floor next to them, and Blue Phoenix bends down to give him a much needed pat. Phil: Meoow! Blue Phoenix: It's ok. Phil: Me-eeeow! Meow! Blue Phoenix: Sadly, I have no clue what you're trying to say. Drahcir: But I do. Look over there. Drahcir points to one corner of the room, where a little corridor is visible. This looks like the only exit of this room as well. Drahcir: Not that. In front of the exit. Two icy figures are standing left and right of the corridor's entrance, seemingly guarding it. They bear a close resemblance to the Stone Gargoyles the group has encountered before - except they are completely made of ice. Blue Phoenix: Now that you mention it, it feels colder down here... brr... Drahcir: Yes, the walls and the ground are partially made of ice. Seems like we got deeper into the dungeon. Simon: I hope the others know we're okay, they must be dead worried. Blue Phoenix: The way I know Nave, he'll be sensing us. A faint rumouring can be heard. Simon quickly turns into the direction of the corridor, but the ice gargoyles are gone. He jumps up and readies his katana. Simon: Where'd they go?! Drahcir: Behind you! The Ice Gargoyles have come to life and are now happily moving towards the party, ready for some slaughtering. Drahcir: I'm getting cold feet, now why the heck am I still not wearing any boots?
