RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - SirFrog - 04-16-2015 I fear this might be a trap. Or a greater mimic. Or both. So let's see if we can't trigger it while we have our guards up. Proceed, and keep your wits about you! RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - Ramond - 04-16-2015 SirFrog: Ok, let's investigate, but be wary. I still don't trust this 'invitation'. The group members slowly enter the room and try to make their way around the table towards the door. Nave jolts over to the first chair and seats himself. Blue Phoenix: The heck! What are you doing? Nave: Just sitting! As Nave examines the table he actually notices a little white and black chessboard standing on it, some pieces distributed on the board as if a game has just been played and abandoned. It seems the black player was about to win. Nave: Peculiar... snorsorbet: We've got no time for this. Let's check that door out. Bamboori: I believe we're heading towards the sanctum of the caves now. This already looks so different. SirFrog: The home of the- Simon is the first to reach the door and opens it. What he sees beyond it takes his breath. The room in front of them resembles a hall of sorts. Violet torches on black walls lighten up the room in an eerie dark glow. Piles of bones and skulls are scattered throughout the room, blood is abundantly spread across the floor and a scent of decay and rottenness enters the party members' noses. Blue Phoenix: Great sh*t of the imperial mfc age! What the flying sh*t happened here?! SirFrog: And so it begins... Nave: What begins, what are you talking about! SirFrog: I fear we have just made ourselves the white pawns of the hopeless game of Chess found on that table... Simon: Is this for real?! Or are you just trying to frighten us? SirFrog: Just a metaphor. snorsorbet: *shudders* This is too much. I need to get out. Nave: Hold it right there, buddy, a little pile of bone and guts has never stopped us before... we've slain dozens of monsters and humans before, this is nothing new to behold! snorsorbet: But the circumstances... Drahcir: snorsorbet has kind of a point there, after all somebody who had nearly total control over those previous events is residing somewhere within these rooms, probably observing each of our moves here, playing with us a game of cat and mouse... Silence follows. After the initial shock of discovering that room, they now discuss their next move. Book of Knowledge (Hints of Interest: - Stat points left: Phil Skill points left: Drahcir, Bamboori, Blue Phoenix, Phil) It's dark. (10:08 PM) The cave's dark cloak encloses the group eerily. RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - SirFrog - 04-16-2015 Damn me due being curious, but should we try to win the chess game, perhaps? Either that, or walking in tight formation into the hall of bones. Possibly whole stabbing the piles, just to be on the safe side. RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - Simoneon - 04-16-2015 im in chaos i dont know what to do xd the chess game sounds nice tho, I'd like to outplay ramons on that one
RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - TheNave - 04-16-2015 so how does the layout of the room look like? any other doors, hallways, etc? not enough informations RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - Ramond - 04-16-2015 The door leading inside the room is centered at this wall, and there's exactly one similar door at the exact opposite end of the room. The room itself is at least twice as large as the room they currently are in, in both dimensions (not higher). The center of the room bears a painted circle in red on the ground, where about four to five people could fit in. RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - TheNave - 04-16-2015 yo I'd say we take a closer look at that circle then, is it drawn with blood or red painting, are there runes on it, anything else noticeable? RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - Simoneon - 04-17-2015 yeah just stand in the circle, like in every action movie RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - Bamboori - 04-17-2015 *steps into the circle* RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - Ramond - 04-17-2015 The group slowly enters the room, trying not to tread on traces of blood or any bones. Blue Phoenix expects something to happen any moment now, however it remains quiet. Nave: How about we get into that circle on the ground? snorsorbet: Are you serious, this could simply kill us... Nave: You know, intruders were never meant to get so far into the caverns. I think this is designed for use rather for the weirdo that lives here than a trap for outsiders. It's too obvious to be a trap! After a little while they reach the circle. It doesn't contain anything else and the red color seems to be paint, but they cannot distinguish it properly from blood with the low amount of light in this room. Simon: I volunteer. And he takes a wide step, positioning himself into the center of the circle. Bamboori quietly follows. snorsorbet gasps. Nothing happens. Bamboori: Oh sh*t! Blue Phoenix: What happened?! Bamboori: Ah nothing serious... I just bit into my flesh while biting my fingernails... Simon: You nervous of something? Bamboori: ... Suddenly a door is slammed shut, Bamboori and Simon wince and instinctively step out of the circle. Drahcir: By the gods, what was that? Blue Phoenix: A door must have closed, but it wasn't the one we came in from... Phil: Meeoooo-ooow!! snorsorbet: Translation: Look. Blue Phoenix: Look where?! SirFrog: Shh. SirFrog nudges the other party members and nods toward the other door in the room. As they turn their gaze into its direction, they can faintly make out a dark human-shaped silhouette wearing a hood standing in front of it, apparently watching them.
