I've never fought online, so i don't know any thing abt it
I'm a fan of melee attack and combo. It's very useful in 1 on 1.
But i usually play stage mode, and i think the best character for that mode is firen: He can beat every enemy in a line with D>A or D>J. Also, DvJ is my favorite move. ^^

Louis is the best. Huge Potential in transformation. Can kill more than three players alone. D>A can destroy every attack. Only draback is speed. But the power makes up for it.

I prefer John because of the huge combo potential w/ the shields.
The only negative thing is that the other attacks (except the ball) are pretty useless.
