Revamp means completely remake a sprite by using your own style. There shall be the same idea but the color, clothes, hairstyle should be different. Sonic got a wrong idea of revamp.

If you see smthing you don't like in the sprite, you can change it, but you can't change major things like clothes (you can't make armored guy wear just trunks) or hair (you can't make guy with long hair bald) or colors (you can't change the color theme from red to blue).
Here's a good example as revamp:

The idea is same, there is same little updating made at the armor, blue is little brighter. But there still are the main things like sword, samelike hair, armor etc.

Yea true what you are saying,but don't say "gosh wake up kid",because he is almost a new member.There has been experienced members too,who have been worried about that.
On topic:
I think you make sprites good for your age.(Well,at least when I compare with myself).
In some sprites there is shading,but in some others there is not
.Why don't you try to make sprites bigger?You can add a few more details in them.Also read tutorials in tutorial forum (well,tutorial&resources with the new name
