RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - Bamboori - 12-27-2016 Bamboori(thinking): Still, I'd like to know if the guards saw anything. He goes inside the barn and tells Drahcir of his findings. Bamboori: I don't think we should all go to avoid making a lot of ruckus, but just in case I don't want to go alone. Let's carefully, but quickly wake the others and decide who will check on the guards. RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - Ramond - 12-27-2016 Bamboori: (Still, I'd like to know if the guards saw anything.) He goes inside the barn and tells Drahcir of his findings. Bamboori: I don't think we should all go to avoid making a lot of ruckus, but just in case I don't want to go alone. Let's carefully, but quickly wake the others and decide who will check on the guards. As the others are woken up and Bamboori quickly summarizes what has transpired on his short expedition, they now ponder their next move. |--4---3---2---1--| a --- Sir Ian Dra : b --- Nav Phi Ste : c Blu Bam sno Sim : d --- --- --- --- : |-----------------| Stats (Click to View) Book of Knowledge: Drahcir Bamboori SirFrog BluePhoenix Nave snorsorbet Phil Simon Ian Steiner World Map (Hints of Interest: - Stat points left: Blue Phoenix, Phil Skill points left: Blue Phoenix, Phil, Simon) (no map) It's night. (2:25 AM, Day 8) The dark, starry sky is filled with shining stars. RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - Bamboori - 12-27-2016 So who wants to go? Make your choice :P Bamboori would actually stay behind because in an emergency he wouldn't be of much use in unarmed combat. (Except nobody else who is active wants to go haha) RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - STM1993 - 12-27-2016 Maybe Steiner can go. High strength, can war cry to get everyone's attention, can leap great distances, can turn into a friggin golem which is awesome even when unarmed. Or get Phil to go for his speed & general stealth - he's a cat afterall, and he'll be the least suspicious to be snooping around. Or we can both go. Personally, I vote for cat. RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - Simoneon - 12-28-2016 go cat go also we should get back to our main quest we're wandering around too much!! RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - SirFrog - 12-28-2016 I could fight unarmed (in a sense), but wizard magic is not subtle. Thunderbolts and lightning, very very frightening, as they say. RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - Ramond - 12-28-2016 So, if I'm understanding this right, only Phil goes? And where exactly does he go? RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - Bamboori - 12-28-2016 uhm, then id actually suggest phil, steiner and bamboori go. only the cat wont be much good for potential conversing with the guards. Bamboori: Okay, Steiner, Phil. Let's search for the guards and see if anything happened RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - STM1993 - 12-28-2016 I guess we can just wander around and see if anything happened with the guards. Reason why I wanted just the cat is to just scan our immediate perimeter rather than speaking with the guards. RE: Ramond's RPG Adventure v2.0 - Ramond - 12-30-2016 I had quite the lengthy post up yesterday but somehow mistakenly hit "back" in Chrome, it wiped my whole story out of existance and raegquit RPG for that day ![]() ... After short contemplation, the group settles on a plan of action. Bamboori: Alright, Steiner, Phil, let's go and check out whether the guards have noticed anything weird. Slowly they exit the barn and head towards the main hut on high alert. The Blazing Farmlands at night emit a creepy atmosphere that chills Bamboori to his bones. Its scenery, bathed in the faint moonlight, is reminiscent of that of a haunted wasteland, with the silhouettes of naked trees resembling a batallion of giant malformed skeletons, lying in wait to ambush any unsuspecting creature that may venture too close to their base. Bamboori, who has taken over the lead of the scouting trio, steps on an apple and nearly slips. Steiner doesn't seem very impressed by his surroundings. And Phil... Phil's just a cat. Once they get close to the hut, the sudden sound of shrill voice that pierces the night's eerie silence pumps adrenaline into their blood. ???: Halt! Who's there? Bamboori and Steiner immediately raise their arms into the air, signaling no bad intentions. A figure that's been concealed in the hut's shadow emerges almost directly in front of them and slowly approaches Bamboori. More footsteps can be heard, and two more figures appear to the left and right of the hut. ???: Huh? Ain't ya some of the guests Jack's havin' tonight? What'cha doing out here at a time like this? It's really dangerous to skulk about in the night like this. Bamboori: Um, we heard a weird noise a couple of minutes ago and just wanted to make sure everything was all right. ???: What sort of noise? Bamboori: Just the crack of a branch. ???: That don't mean anything. Could've been a cat for all ya know. Thing is, wandering around at night makes ya really nice targets for bandit scum. They're everywhere. Luckily though, none have been sighted for a while now. Just lock up the barn door tight, ya hear? And ya should be safe. Bamboori: Oh, alright, thanks, I guess... Bamboori turns to leave but remembers a tiny matter. Bamboori: Oh, by the way... a chicken's loose, roaming around our barn. ???: Is it now? That'se not directly my problem, but I'ma let Jack know in the morning. Now scram before you're spotted! The mercenaries truly are strange folk. Bamboori cannot help but wonder what exactly is going on in their heads. Probably just money. The group's journey back to the barn is uneventful. Bamboori locks up the barn door tight and then lulls himself to sleep. ... A rooster's cry in the distance announces the dawn of a new day. The group gets ready for the new day and exits the barn. Blue Phoenix: Hey, what gives? It's still pretty dark. SirFrog: From what I remember, it's common for roosters to crow way before the sunlight may reach the lands. Rest assured however that it will become lighter soon. Not all the group members however have rested enough though. It is quite apparent from their eyes that SirFrog and snorsorbet wouldn't mind another hour's worth of rest. However, by the time they reach the main hut and meet up with the main mercenary, who has already prepared the group's weapons for pickup, all of them feel pumped up and raring to go. After a meager but complimentary breakfast, they prepare to take leave. Jack and the main mercenary proceed to shake Blue Phoenix's hand. Jack: Stay safe, travelers. Blue Phoenix: You too, Jack. Perhaps we will meet again. During the breakfast the group had discussed their current situation and came to the conclusion that Eleana had probably never come along this way, so they venture back into the Rinstar Highlands, up to the last intersection they had reached the day before. In the meantime, the sky has lightened up quite a bit, even though there's still no sign of the sun. It's however light enough to see the surroundings clearly. Blue Phoenix: All right, we're back here. I suppose we should look for that farm now. Nave: Or track down the desert store's owner. Simon: I have a feeling though that finding out what happened to Eleana could give us clues to Matt's whereabouts. Nave: Of course you only have a feeling. You're not an almighty wizard after all, for I exactly KNOW that Eleana is the key to Matt. Simon: Bet's on. Nave: Deal. Bamboori: Regardless of such, where shall we start looking? |--4---3---2---1--| a --- Sir Ian Dra : b --- Nav Phi Ste : c Blu Bam sno Sim : d --- --- --- --- : |-----------------| Stats (Click to View) Book of Knowledge: Drahcir Bamboori SirFrog BluePhoenix Nave snorsorbet Phil Simon Ian Steiner World Map (Hints of Interest: - Stat points left: Blue Phoenix, Phil Skill points left: Blue Phoenix, Phil, Simon) ![]() (F5 to update image) It's dawn.
