wow it looks cool with this thing (dont know the english word:P) around his body.
and no i dont think u suck at making eyes, the eyes look good but the place where they r is not right in my opinion... i would switch them a few of px to the right (of my perspective) so maybe his right eye (of my perspective) is not able to see from u completely, and what im seeing now 2: his right arm (of my perspective) looks a bit like a line, so i it looks a bit like the hand is not a hand but just a part of the arm, u know what i mean? so i would make the line between hand and arm a little bit thinner

the heads are too flat. look at an lf2 sprite and compare the sizes of the face.
you'll get it
and dont worry about what base i thought it was. i was tired, it was past 10:00pm, i was doing my maths assignment, and felt like melting...

better than before,
but you need to make the head a little higher
his head still looks a little flat, so move his hair up a bit and connect it with some more hair and skin.
if you fix that, the sprite will be fine
