Pretty sweet. I'd try to clear out this black outline a little. Also those ice-rocks on left are kinda out of symphony for me. Great clouds and sky.

Best of that BG is the last layer with the clouds and lighting... sadly that's ripped from this wallpaper (blame my eidetic memory :p). In my opinion it would be better if you make a completly new one from scratch instead of ripping and editing, because I think you have the skills to do it.
Rest of the BG is really rough... and since you still have one whole week to the deadline, you should put more effort into it.
Also, I would like to kindly ask if we can extended the deadline by a week, mostly because my partner has almost finished all the datawork and I am not 100% sure if I can finish everything before the 30th, and it would suck for him if I don't make it in time. As there aren't that many entries, I think we can all use that extra week to improve the BGs. What do you think?

completly right and i really shame myself now but when this contest got opened i didnt really have an idea what to do...
if u look closly u will see tha this is the only part i didnt redraw but this doesnt care now.
Sorry! take this bg for fun, challenge accepted i do a 100% custom one now

You don't have to say sorry, there's nothing wrong with using ripped images, but I'm trying to encourage you to do something from scratch since I think you can do it.
Edit: V It's gonna be worthwhile :p

it's nice. But here's just a little suggestions:
-On the left of the grass, somehow I think it has been cut.(idk, colors are a bit different)
-The rainbow should be behind the mountain instead.(It's your BG, so the options are yours. I'm just giving some comments)
