sadly i don't have a finish date, i am nearly done with basic sprite sheets but after that i have even more work so i dont think i can say when i will be finished for sure..
basic sprite sheets - about 60% done
special attacks sprites - 0%
basic data - 0%
special attacks data - 0%

update: aw now the legs turned out so nice which makes me want to remake the entire upper body :/

If you're looking for a reason to remake the upper body, the legs seem to have a lot of life and movement in them, whereas the upper body seems a bit stiff/rigid now if you compare the two. I'm not saying he should look like a marching soldier, but his legs seem to have a bit more life than the arms do.
Once again, it's barely a noteworthy feature, but if you're looking for the excuse xD

Edit: If it isn't clear. There's nothing wrong with it. Either stick to it and finish what already looks like an awesome character or go full overload on it and work hard to reach whatever you deem as perfect.

Great progress so far! I wouldn't change the upper body at all. The change would probably be barely noticeable. Unless you have days that last 50 hours, it wouldn't be worth the extra-effort
I'm really looking forward to this char, considering that its sprites are absolutely top-notch. Keepit up
