How about making the char look like Harle's representative? Though, that would probably raise the question, how much a revamp can deviate from the original? On the sprite: the gent looks like a farting Karlsson. I suggest, that you try again, because I see, that you've got guts. (Pun intended.)

You might want him to look a little less static. Right now, it's all a bit static; no big movement whaatsoever (<--sorry, I couldn't resist). Try to add some more dynamics, some interesting move. At least, something which looks more special than an..... energy-powered one-leg-jump
