That's a good point, but have in mind that Vegeta is very proud by nature, sometimes arrogant to a fault, and that if he can reach ssj4 level, when fighting weaker enemies he would definitely go through all forms to play with his opponent like a cat with a mouse. And the time when he could transform to ssj3 is only after he turned into a giant monkey Oozaru and reached ssj4 in DB GT. I'm no expert, but for me it looks more reasonable that Vegeta could reach ssj3 level only later in the GT after the training in the room Bulma created him. Just saiyan.

wrong,wrong and WRONG...
1-goku made it to super saiyan 3 in the majin buu saga...
2- he couldve went super saiyan 3 vs majin vegeta but he held back
3- after vegeta died and went to the other world he was watching goku (somehow) demonstrating his new super saiyan 3 to majin buu (the fat one) can even show you a vid on youtube
4- after vegeta was sent back to real life to help goku he crearly stated "dont lie to me kakrrot, i know you were holding back on me with your super saiyan 3 last time we fought" so he realized that he didnt beat kakarrot at all...
what i ment to say is if (IF) the creators of dragon ball z ever wanted to make vegeta go super saiyan 3 then they would have made him do it in the majin buu saga so he can help kakarrot and not do it in the dragon ball GT... and why? because he went super saiyan 4 in the draong ball GT. so why would a guy who can already go level 4 just go to level 3??

Okay, admittedly you do know your dbz facts,but my point is he didn't have time to learn it I mean super sayian wasn't easy let alone super sayian 3 and yes I do realize super sayian becomes "A childs plaything" being so simple trunks and goten can turn super sayian but the point remains he didn't have time to learn wich is why he never did it.
