RE: Character sprite concepts - Rhino.Freak - 10-18-2014

I think his dress is way too fancy for an old retired magician living near ice to protect it.
would be better to make his dress somewhat similar to monk I think.

RE: Character sprite concepts - Ariel - 10-18-2014

[rtl]I would say the outfit don't much him[/rtl]
[rtl]He lives in the ice[/rtl]
[rtl]And he is an old guy like rhino said[/rtl]
[rtl]So I would suggest a grey long vest an white dress under it[/rtl]
[rtl]This way it will be warm and old style[/rtl]
[rtl]For the head[/rtl]
[rtl]Humm I think it's nice that he hide his eyes so keep it[/rtl]
[rtl]Only thing I'll change in the head is make it longer [/rtl]
[rtl]Like pointy[/rtl]
But fold down

Hope u got my idea

guys, its juts a concept sprite, you can always make it how you imagine it, its not the final product.

Memento, its his hair covering his eyes. Brown is not a moustache, its shadows because his face is hiden and shadows falling on his face.

edit: how about editing sorcecer sprite and adding shoulder "pads" , beard and other details?

I guess that's fine as long as it's not too easy to recognize the base when it's done :)

Ill probably post that after some 5 hours or something because you know, studies and stuff.

maybe lets think about other characters also, how about this general. Maybe someone have some new ideas for him?

RE: Character sprite concepts - Memento - 10-19-2014

I have been trying to make some concept sprites, but most of them were straight fails lol.

I tried editing your general sprite, I wanted to make him into a man with black skin and dreadlocks, but I failed at this one :p

I made one sprite, but it isn't a design for a specific character.... It was meant as a sprite for the general, but I don't think it fits for him at all, so probably just waste unless we decide to make him into a normal hero. IF he'd be a character, he'd have a tattoo-like painting on the back of his shirt and his moves would be powerful, but relatively slow melee moves and special moves...

Alright, another design for Wizard [Image: lHbDDWd.png]

do you like it? if yes, then I could starts spriting him.

If you want to suggest different colors, just recolor this one [Image: HqUisFh.png]

edit: Now I will show you how I made sprites for walking [Image: ka6R8vk.png]
As you can see I have made standing sprite. Then I made 4 copies of the original sprite and put them in the frames. Later I took some color that could be seen clearly while drawing on already existing sprite. I started drawing walking sprites. After drawing with red color, I erased parts which were not needed anymore. Then fixed some places where was some gaps. Then I started coloring everything. Took darker color and colored one place, then looking at original sprite to see how and from where folds and light color is coming from and then I repeated everything until I got final product.

edit2: walking [Image: s3NzxB3.gif] I can also try adding some movement to the shoulders. Also, if its okey , I will start a separate topic for this character  :)

Awesome
Only thing that I would say now
Is change the cape color to white that's it
It's not noticable enough
Except this , Great job

RE: Character sprite concepts - Jahvansi - 10-20-2014

Holy moly I totaly love this design mono! <3
exactly how I imagined it, this is amazing :D

I'd say go for it, sheet him!

also I'd leave the cape color as it is now, I guess its just not that noticeable right now as its on black background...
