Where I circled with red, the arm should be behind that, so the elbow won't be visible.

Damn, you have a sharp eye. Just a little scarf cover and it would be fixed.

On topic: Upper one is really good, but maybe some recoloring could be a good thing.
Other one´s head/hair is too flat.

The way you did the hair, makes his head look flat. Try a more curved turn towards the head and hair, if the hair is suppose to be like that. Then you should increase it's height, he should have a forehead.
