You really could improve on the sprite, Ragor. Since you didn't use any base, the legs and arms look crippled.

Done with my entry, tried to add some animation and breathing to the sprite.

Edit: Fixed it, and removed the old version. Slowed down the animation as well, so he doesn't look like he needs to go to the bathroom. :P

you should let the "chain" between his legs move too, otherwise it looks too static.
also it does look strange that only one shoe moves up (even though moving shows are already strange).
then his second hand is not moving at all and the other hand is moving too much. the upperbody looks a bit too static.. make it move on its own instead of only moving the legs.

Out of respect to the original spriter, I believe you should care. I would rather see someone put their hardest effort in to a resprite of someone elses sprite and loose the competition, then see an absolutely amazing thrown together sprite done in 5 minutes.

you should focus on the feet once again.. the one feet is moving a part of his shoe with him..
unless he has like stretchable shoes, this looks akward.
a bit of a movement on the arm with the fire does not hurt.. when you are holding something.. your arm moves it does not matter how hard you try your arm moves a bit, its like that.
also i noticed that part between both feet (where is menlyness would be located) is changing colour, or rather changing shades, why do you do that? not say that you have to change it, just wonder what your objectives are behind this.
