Stuck in conversation box position trouble - John Doe Antler - 12-26-2017 I made a warning effect. But now I can't fix it to an absolute position like x: 0 z:0 Does this trouble had been solved by someone? Please Share the method. This is how the effect looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENV6G40Ya14 The problem of displacement: https://imgur.com/a/J53Ab RE: Stuck in conversation box position trouble - STM1993 - 12-26-2017 You don't actually need it to be at x: 0 exactly. The easiest method is: 1) Spawn an enemy in Stage in position x: -350. (so his position will randomly be between -350 and -50) 2) The enemy opoints the Warning Box with facing: 10. (ensures the warning box always faces to the right) 3) The Warning Box should be a type: 3 with state: 9997, and its real position should not be on the ground. (if it is actually touching the floor, it will be deleted because it is out of bounds, but somehow can still exist if it is floating above the ground. I avoid type 5 because if I remember correctly, it will delete once outside the map no matter the height.) 4) To ensure that the Warning Box is always at the highest possible Z-axis, make sure it has hit_j: 1 or dvz: 501. (either number is okay, the purpose is to make it automatically move upward on z-axis at the fastest possible rate of 49px per frame). If you prefer to move it down on z-axis instead, use hit_j: 99 or dvz: 599. State 9997 is used by etc.dat to ensure the message always appears even if you are far away or even if its outside of the playable area. The reason why the warning box is spawned to the left instead of on the right is because state: 9997 doesn't work properly if you use it on the right side (it will cut off to show only 80px of the picture). RE: Stuck in conversation box position trouble - John Doe Antler - 12-26-2017 Thanks ;D |
