hi , i wanted to ask how i can minimize ( compress) the file size of the bmps (sprites, charmenu.bmp...)!
i´m working with photo filtre and , always if i save the bmp it "larges"
from 50kb to 1,3 mb or so!!!
Can anyone help me???

Well, since bmp's are rather large, I'd suggest that you need to save it as an 8-bit bmp aka. 256 colors. All the original sprites are already in 256 colors, just if you edit them, you might need more. But yea, the smalles bmp is a 256-color bmp, so, I guess you know what you've to do now

lf2 can't use jpg or png images... bmp is heavy, when "transform" a bmp image to others types, the image is bad "/

actually, lf2 can use png's
first you need to download rammichael's exe changer (not resource hacker)
and then select the lf2 exe with it, and the tick the box that says:
'allow lf2 to use png's'
this will work.

Andi changed it to 8-bit but the quality of the pics are then bad!

hääh , it tried them but, how can i change it with rammichaels data changer ???!!!
Cuz my mod is 160 mb because the bad size!! (in new lf2 2.0 exe)

If you PM me the pics I could reduce the colours to a minimum without quality loss.
Paint and Photo Philtre aren't really good programms for this...

Yes, the x4 suite works aswell, just that it is ways pricier than an earlier release.
I've bought Corel Draw 11 for 20$. Corel Draw 14 is something about 400$
Anyways, it is somewhere under "picture (?) -> Colours -> Palette -> Optimized"
