G4F Chronicles II: The LF Empire (Season 1) - Zabobula - 09-19-2008

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the first chapter of the story I have been prepared for you all. The wait was long but no longer. Here it is the first chapter of the story whose title I must give credit to Drahcir.

Forewarning: My chapters are long so I hope you have a comfortable seat. XD

G4F CHRONICLES II: THE LF EMPIRE

Chapter One

In the imperial world known as the LF Empire news was spreading of an unexpected disaster. It began as rumor but it was truth. The news was immediately received by the ruler of the Empire, Lord MH-Razen.

Cirno, one of Razen’s Imperial Generals, brought to him the news, “Lord Razen.”
“Yes Cirno?” Razen spoke in a calm manner. “What news do you bring me from our allies to the west?”
“I regret to inform you my Lord,” Cirno began, “but we no longer have allies in the west. The Domain of G4F…it has been…destroyed.”
Razen looked upon Cirno with doubt and disbelief. “It can’t be! How is that possible? Were there survivors?”
“Not a soul was found amongst the rubble, sir,” Cirno said. “The only things that remained in that area were burnt statues and toppled buildings. We could not find one living person. Not even a corpse was found.”
“Perhaps the people were moved to a location beforehand?” Razen speculated.
“If that were true then we would know,” Cirno stated. “But we haven’t come into contact with a single soul within that immediate area or the area surrounding it.”
“Damn it all!” Razen exclaimed. “Who is responsible for this? Have you found any leads at all? The UA or the 13th Zone. Are they responsible for this?”
“We don’t know,” Cirno said. “But they shouldn’t learn of this either. G4F was one of our most powerful allies and if they learn that it has been destroyed they would surely mobilize and we wouldn’t even be aware of it. We are in somewhat of a standoff against them as it is. It’d be best if we not excite the current situation.”
“Then we should send someone to the UA and the 13th Zone to find out,” Razen suggested. “Deploy your best reconnaissance officers, General Cirno. We must find out who is responsible for this, and if that means we must go to war with the UA, then so be it!”

Daytime loomed in the city of Ancuril, a major city and also a symbol of peace and stability within the Empire. However, the news was spreading rapidly throughout the Empire and began stirring insecurity to the major city.

A small boy walked into a crowded bar, unattended. The bartender immediately spotted him, “Hey, no kids are allowed in here so get the Hell out!”
The lad had a very intense look about him. His hair was short and golden brown; he wore a black and loose long-sleeved collared shirt with brown pants and shoes. His eyes were a malevolent purple and they were fixed on the bartender who scolded him. He slowly walked toward the counter and after a small seconds pass, he went into a dash and leapt on top of the counter and grabbed the bartender by his collar.
“Listen here you mortal swine,” the boy said, “If you ever call me a boy, a kid, or any other related name, I will ring your neck till I see my handprints engraved on it!”
The bartender shrieked with fear and immediate pain as the boy tossed him to the floor. Everyone was shocked at what they had just witnessed as the boy grabbed a bottle of grog from the shelves behind the counter, leaped back over, and walked to an occupied table way in the back of the room.
A man, who sat at the table the boy came to, commented. “Well that’s no way to treat a bartender.”
“Like I give a damn,” the boy replied. “He had some nerve calling me a boy. Curse this physical appearance.”
The man took a swig of his own bottle and replied, “Who elbow smashed your breakfast today? You’re not your usual mellow self today, Zabobula.”
“When have you ever seen me mellow, Gravedigger?” the boy now identified as Zabobula asked. “I don’t hang around people long enough for them to try and understand me.”
“Do you not have friends here in the Empire?” the man replied semi-sarcastically taking another drink. “Am I, Supaxile, not your friend?”
“I don’t have or make friends,” Zabobula began stating, “I just know people.”
“I’ll be sure and quote you on that,” Supaxile said taking a final sip before calling the bartender over for another drink.
“I’d rather you not,” Zabobula said rising up.
“Where are you going?” Supaxile asked.
“Back.”
“To the ruins? What for? You already know what they look like. Also, in case you have forgotten, we are supposed to be on a low-profile because of what happened.”
“I’m well aware of that,” Zabobula said. “But no one knows that I am Zabobula since I’m in this dreaded form.”
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Supaxile asked.
“Yes,” Zabobula answered. “I’m sure. I still can’t believe that it happened. How could he let this happen?”
“We may never know since his whereabouts, let alone his very existence, is unknown,” Supaxile said. “But tread caution on your way there. I’ve been hearing rumors about the 13th Zone and the UA.”
“Leave that to Razen,” Zabobula said. “The Empire will sort it out.”
Zabobula nodded signifying his departure. As he gathered his things and left he thought to himself, “How could you let this happen? Why didn’t you stop this from happening? I’ll find you and I will get answers, Robo.”

Evening spread to the far southeast of the Empire, in the secluded imperial fortress that is known as Dron, two of the Empire’s Imperial Generals, Marshall and Silva, stood atop the fortress’s battlements awaiting the arrival of contacts from another world.
“You think they will agree to our terms?” Marshall asked Silva.
“Hopefully they will,” Silva answered. “They’ve come a long way and we can’t make seem like it’s all for nothing.”
“I hear they are two excellent swordsmen,” Marshall began, “but the weapons they use are unheard of. They have these…”
“I am well aware of the weapons they possess Marshall,” Silva interrupted. “We are here to make them our allies, not our training combatants.”
“Yeah, I know,” Marshall said with a lowered tone of voice.
Silva noticed his shift in volume, “Look I know and understand. This is big for us and for the Empire. Making an intergalactic alliance with a race who barely knows who we are. Yet they have come to us to form a mutual agreement. This is unheard of, indeed.”
“That’s why we do need to make this count,” Marshall said.
Suddenly a large spaceship dropped out from the clouds and began its descent to Earth. It was a very immense spaceship that rounded to a point in the front. The back was winged and under the spaceship, which Marshall and Silva could see, was what seemed like a large ventilation device that seemed to be the cause of heavy winds that were blowing upwards towards the incoming spaceship. After a long time of passage, the ship finally landed on Earth.
“This is it,” Silva said. “Remember to be courteous; do not say anything that could possibly offend them.”
“You speak to me like I’m your subordinate, Silva,” Marshall replied. “I’m well aware of the situation. There is a time for jocular communication but its not now.”
Silva gave the expression of an apologetic smile and they both continued to face the ship in front of them.
The landing dock opened releasing a large amount of smoke from within the ship. Two shadows could be seen from within the craft and they grew larger until they were made fully visible.
They walked down the ramp till they reached the battlements of Dron.

Night covered the rays of the sun in a land far off to the East of the LF Empire is the wicked realm of the Undead Alliance. Deep within the swamps of the forbidden territory, two members of the Empire were being chased by a garrison of UA armed forces. Somehow they had escaped their imprisonment and had become fugitives on the run.
“Catch them before they reach the Great Wall!” A commander yelled out from the pursuing forces. “They must not pass the boundary!”
“This is not good, Paddy!” one of the two fleeing men said. “We don’t have our weapons and we are way too far from the Great Wall!”
“Eh, you should’ve let me kill the leader when we had the chance, Lauli!” the one named Paddy exclaimed. “Now we are as good as dead because of you!”
“Let’s not make worthless comments,” Lauli said. “We’ve already got a situation right now.”
“We could really use a bre…”
Paddy tripped over a protruding tree limb and fell, face first, into the swampwater.
Lauli immediately stopped running, “Paddy what the Hell?”
He jerked Paddy by his arm out of the water and forced him to continue running, “Now’s not the time for you to be falling to pieces on me.”
As they continued running arrows began shooting at them from the front! They both ducked simultaneously and began to run a different path. But arrows shot from that direction as well. Both of them stopped running and began backing up.
“This is not good. We are surrounded!” Paddy said.
The pursuing garrison force surrounded them completely and their commander came out.
“I am Scorpion, Commander of the 100 Garrison Unit of the Undead Alliance, but today you can simply refer to me as your executioner! Heh-heh, Men, prepare your arrows. Set them to burn like Hell!”
The men gathered arrows from their quivers and prepared to shoot.
“We can’t let prisoners of war escape our grasp. Especially since you two know that we are about to mobilize. And for that you both must die here. On my command men!”
“I’d like to finish your sentence Paddy,” Lauli began, “and say we REALLY COULD USE A BREAK!”
And suddenly it came. As soon as Scorpion was about to issue his command, a large icy-blue stalactite fell from the sky and impaled one of the men through the head, killing him instantly. Scorpion was stopped in his tracks.
“What the Hell?!” Scorpion exclaimed. “What sorcery is this?”
Another stalactite came down and speared one of Scorpion’s men through the neck.
“These shards!” Scorpion said. “This must be the work of…no. MEN RETREAT!”
Suddenly more icy shards began raining down from above. Many of Scorpion’s men were killed by the falling shards and those that were wounded would be dead soon after. Lauli and Paddy wasted no time trying to figure out the situation and continued running towards the Great Wall which was now visible. They had gotten out of the deep swamps and into grassy flatlands where the night sky and moon were now visible.
“We are almost there!” Paddy said. “What was that back there?”
Lauli smiled knowing automatically. “It was Phoenix!”
“Phoenix? You mean Blue-Phoenix?!” Paddy said looking back in the swamps.
But he noticed a large cold blue cloud hovering over the swamps and large shards of ice were raining down on it. The screams of Scorpions men could be heard from within.
After what seemed like endless running, the two finally passed over the Great Wall, the boundary between the LF Empire and the Undead Alliance realm. However the land they were in was not the Empire’s but it was a safe zone to those belonging to it.
“Phew!” Paddy gasped. “We finally made it.”
“Thank heavens,” Lauli said.
“You should be thanking me more.”
Blue-Phoenix the ruler of the Southern LF Empire approached them.
Paddy ran to him and bowed to him several times. “Oh thank you indeed, Blue-Phoenix, O Great One!”
“Dramatics are not necessary Paddy.” Phoenix stated.
“We have to inform Lord Razen of what’s about to happen,” Lauli said.
“What is going on?” Phoenix asked.
“The Undead Alliance is mobilizing for war!”

~

The moon stood full throughout the clear night sky. Three men stood atop of a tower viewing the LFE Castle from afar.
“Has he arrived yet?” The first of three spoke.
“He will be here soon.” The second of three replied.
“We can’t begin until he gets here.” The third stated.
“We know that.”
“Once he gets here it will be the end of this Empire.”
“Those fools. They sit down there pondering who destroyed G4F when their existence was never important to begin with.”
“There can only be one Empire.”
“But Razen doesn’t understand that.”
“Since he can’t be made to understand, we will have to eliminate him and destroy this Empire as well.”
“And once we destroy this current Empire, we, the Dark Rebellion, will create a new Empire over this one.”

I don't think I have you're profile. Create one for me in the LFE Story thread and I'll add you in.

For those who aren't in the story yet, fear not. You may not be in the first chapter but I always use who are given to me.

@Drahcir, what do you mean by piccy?

EDIT: This would make for a nice sticky thread...
