Hey, Can anyone tell me how to making cliff bg but the char can falling on the cliff and the char is dead but if you press F7 the char still die or alive but still under the cliff but not disappearing and the s pic is still in the life bar.

help me please...:(

only possible in stage mode with another object. Since there is no possibility for objects to be opointed by a bg itself, you can't do this in vs, for example.

Stage Mode: an object catches you when you fall, hurts you with a 500-damage, and still holds you. However, you'll need to edit every char. Copy the lying-frames, add a cpoint. This frame will be used when your character is being held (so that it looks like he is dead, the catching object is invisible). Alter the coordinates of the cpoint of the catching object, so that the character will be lower than the set ground. That's it... I think...

no offence, your plan is right in theory, but you missed one thing: it's not possible if you want 100% guarantee from first second of the game (without hex edit, dont know what silva can do).


cause (I refer to the background cliff, the cliff is on right side of the bg) if you use the background in VS the char starts in the middle and the area you can walk around is on right side like it should be, but if you use it in stage you start at x: 100 or so and the area you can walk on is on left side - somewhere in the air... no way to solve this (without hex.... like I told: don't know)

good point right there :)
problem is also that the character is invincible the first 7 TUs I believe or something like that. Ah, screw the numbers, he is invincible as long as he's blinking :P

yea, for stage, you'll need to set a different bg than the cliff bg on LFE. I just had another solution: imagine, you take the bg of survival, it looks quite suitable. Normally, there is no cliff. However, imagine there is an object which changes the bg a little by overlaying a part of that described bg. It'll be the "cliff-object". This is how you solve the difficulty with the different modes. Only in stage mode, there will be a cliff in the bg. And if you set that cliff at the right place, there won't be a problem with placing characters in the air ;)
