user title ranks - Azriel - 11-22-2008
kayz so I had this idea, since we have stuff like Administrator, Advanced DCer, VIP etc., and there are also people good at sprites, artwork, and hex, why not instead of one user title, we have stars, without the title name beside it (it should be a rollover text or something). So we can collect stars if we are good in that area, so it'll be an indication of who to look for for w/e advice. So like MH can have the Admin star and the Advanced DCer star, BP can have the Admin star, Art-pro-guy-thingy star, etc. (so to speak).

Administrator
VIP
Advanced DCer
Pro Spriter
Artist
Hex Editor <- needs a better name (Data master? :P)
Storyteller <- also needs a better name =d
Fighter
different colour for each star of course.

I appreciated really much the idea.
I also think like this, it's better because, sometimes, a guy is a helpful member, and don't know anything to be helpful enough (ME!)

Is really a good idea, i think don't need the fighter, because the championship rank is in post:

only thing I will not do cause of spam.
Actually I like the idea - realisation would also be not that difficult - would be a field only admins can edit and the ranks - well, admin-choose for some or members-choice by poll
and for fighters - tournaments seem to be .. dead
edit: actually I wouldn't use stars for everything.
I would use symbols - which is a bit more difficult, but a bit more... cleary what it is.

Administrator--Firzen w/ Firzen Cannon
VIP--LouisEX w/ Thunder Punch
Advanced DCer--Firen/Freeze w/ ball attack
Pro Spriter--Firen/Freeze w/ ball attack (whichever one Advanced DCer doesn't do)
Artist--John w/ Heal
Hex Editor--Bat
Storyteller--Sorcerer w/ Heal
Fighter--Deep/Knight
of course, those are just suggestions--your choice

Hmm... No, for this purpose I think that stars of different colors will fit better... It will look overspammed if you just put random characters over your signature :P

Just thought about that again.... The most easy thing (but also the most fallible) system would be simple userbars in the sig. But yea, people could simply "steal" the thing from others.... no, bad idea :P
