[Char] My first spriting: Lynx - Pirate - 04-14-2009

Hai!

I recently joined this community and got into LF2-Modding. I have now created some sprites, (char is not complete) and i wanted to get some advice, cus i am pretty bad when it comes to spriting.

So i will now show you the first picture of Lynx the mercenary.

This character will focus on long and mid-ranged combat by using different kinds of weapons(Shotgun,submachine,pistols and maybe homing missiles!)
If you wish i can go deeper into the details about these moves :)

As a solider, Lynx never uses bare hands in combat and prefers to use a knife when he attacks normal (inspired by Alblakas character Avien from his mod, Trio Mortale)

And ofc I always welcome new ideas :)

because for now it looks like ... an piece of... an old cookie.
and are you an guy who was old cookies? (srsly i will kill you if you have old cookies [COOKIES])

Hum looks nice, but a bit unfinshed thought.
The stripes at his shirt and his trouser should be a bit clearlyer, but the rest looks fine.

btw, ask scorpion for camo-clothes! I beg he can help you a bit.

Well thanks for replying. I am ofcourse aware of the davis face and shades etc. Tho I feel I have to do this step by step and do details like shadow last. I just want to complete this so I can move on. Maybe then I will create a new sprite for him :)

PS: Ideas on dc/moves still accepted ;)

at first: WELCOME IN LFE;)

4 ur 1. sprite it looks very good i think. well... there r much things ull have to work on but like i siad: its ur 1. sprite, and 4 that it looks good :)
but ill tell u now what i think u have to improve:

u have to make a structure in his hair, it looks a bit wierd when there is just some shading at some accidentally places. make some strands or something like this in his hair:)
then blur the lines on his shirt a bit so that it fuses a bit with this green of his shirt.
and dont make the lines on his pants straightly like this. when u r wearing a pants with lines, they wont be straightly 2, because of many folds :) and blur the lines a little bit 2 ;)

for your first sprite it is cool but it needs some shading and try to make hair shorter.
