Xbox 360 or Playstation 3?? - DarkFirzenEX - 04-23-2009

Hey guys!

I'm 14, and Sunday i got my confirmation. Now I want to buy a game console, but what should i buy Xbox 360 or Playstation 3??
I know PS3 is much expensive than a Xbox 360. But I don't know. Does anyone of you ahs got a Xbox 360 or a PS3? What should i buy?

nah xbox 360
if you've internet or something then it's great
and not so expensive
and p3 has so much bugs

I'd say it depends on what you're friends play. You'll probably want to play online with them, and that would be the biggest deciding factor. If all your friends have one console, you should probably get the same one. Otherwise, if it is split 50/50 then read the rest of this post :p.

Most good multiplayer games which are worth playing are on both consoles (street fighter IV, CoD 4/5/6[when it gets released]). As for console exclusive games, I think all the PS3 ones are crap :p. Metal gear solid 4 is basically a cutscene. Kill zone 2 just has pretty graphics, everything else is completely mediocre. Some crazy people like the games which I hate, but I think it is just because they release them on the console they own :p.

In terms of controllers, the 360 one is more ergonomic, but the D-Pad is completely useless. The PS3 controller has a damn awesome D-Pad :p. The thing is, unless you plan to play Street Fighter IV (or any other 2d fighting game), you don't need the D-Pad.

Asking such a question on the internet is pointless, people will just recommend what they bought because they will try to justify to them selves that they made the right choice :p.

Get the PS3! It can play blu-rays!@#!@ In the long run it is cheaper because you don't pay to play online(for the 360 you have to pay for "xbox live" to play multilayer games). It has an awesome D-Pad!! woo!! :p

PS: if you haven't figured it out, I own a ps3(only use it to play street fighter 4 and watch blu-rays + stream movies from my pc to the tv ) :p

I dislike 360, but it does also have good games...
but no blue ray laser, that's why it's cheaper.
But xbox is from microsoft and you already have a computer...

But don't touch Wii :|

So what I read is that the PS3 is supposed to be better :D

To the Xbox: To pay money every month for playing online is not good..
But I still can play online with my friends which have got an Xbox if I have got a PS3 right?
And, yea, I got the money :P
Also there are very much games for PS3. Thats cool :D

Edit: yea! The wii is nerd-console ;D

haven't got a playstation 3, though I might buy one once I have the money ^^..
Well.. I personally think the PS3 would be better indeed.. But as I neither have it or an Xbox it is hard for me to judge..

ps: dang, ur 14 and u have enough money to buy it..? :o (nice :p) When I was that age, I had like... almost nothing ^^!
(I still don't, but that's just because I go out too much :d)

No, even if games are released on the same console, the online servers are different. If you have a PS3 you can't play with someone on the 360. That's why I said you should buy what you're friends have.


Wii is the nerd console? Really :p? I guess that is why it is the console which sold the most? I think the ps3 is the nerd one :p, most expensive, sold the least amount of units out of all 3rd gen systems + most of the early adopters were media enthusiasts who use it as a blu-ray player (it was the cheapest blu-ray player for a long time).

Like I said, the only reason I bought a ps3 was so that I could watch blu-rays + stream movies from my pc and play Street Fighter. The only game I play on the ps3 is Street Fighter :p.

thrilling arguments ... very much indeed

i wont consider the pricing for now - as i think you can have both of them with different disk space or sth thus making it a bit complicated to compare/decide (you know which will be cheaper anyway)

as ive heard online gaming costs money on the 360 while its free of charge on the ps3 (is that an argument?)
the ps3 isnt quite as old as the 360 and supposed to stay for much longer - being granted with new games/updates/whatnot for a longer period of time, or so they say
in case you dont have a dvd player for yourself ... well you probably know this argument
i dont know any game you would really miss out on either consoles - most things get released on both as far as im concerned
the 360 has the ring of death - and ive experienced it not being able to play several games myself (apart from the rod) and getting stuck (good old microsoft >.> srsly) - i dont have any experiences with the ps3 tho, who knows when those will start to blow up
the ps3 has some motion sh¡t in the controller? (not quite sure there)

should i say more? - even tho i would still buy, no - i have bought something completley different
but i had pretty different criteria for myself

Well, I dont mean nerd in the same way than you. In my class its a word for.. well.. everything xD
I can't explain in english what I mean with nerd-console :P
So the arguments are for the PS3.. and i heard from my friend thats the Xbox gets dead when it gets moved while youre playing O_____o
And when my dog does this.. then my Xbox would be dead :O

Anyone can say why so much mods etc. are answering here? :D
