Thats my first BG I have only edit the template BG.
I think I use it in my Maple Fighter Mod for the second stage.

I would edit the floor where the players can stay only black doesn't look such good and the background looks a bit weird, too.

hm, your bg is strange, simply because the objects lying on floor move - or it looks like they move, because the width of the forest is smaller then the width of the playable area. If you correct it (use loop for images) it'll look more realistic - then the mountains move behind the trees and not the weapons in front of the forest

The floor is not black its dark green...
