Well, f.e. for NTSD (yeah NTSD again) it could say when the new version is out with a direct download link to it, so ppls don't need to check the forum every day

yeah it would be really cool , maybe in future , update patches could be downloaded directly or show news or like dat , i think it uses a link with a script or what ever ! how to configure dat ?

Actually I that the update feature connects to lf2.net or another server and downloads some a few txt files. Then replaces them with the ad txt files. Then downloading the ad bmp files and replacing them. This means that in order to manipulate the feature to show wether the version was updated and download it you will have to find out wether there is a new version and then if there is download it.
