Little Fighter 2 Lobby (beta) - Chiko - 09-25-2009
Little Fighter 2 Lobby is now in beta stages and available for public use
Here are some feature/benefits of using this lobby
The lobby:
* allows up to 4 players from any location
* does not require anyone to host a game which is great for firewalls
* makes it easy to find other players ready to play
* is great for 4 player tournaments
This is only the beginning there are plans to add more features e.g.
making it easier to setup tournaments using passwords protected games and the ability to kick users
real time server side recording to enable a player to reconnect and resume playing after dropping out
and much more...
There are a few things to take into consideration when using this service
* It's a beta bugs are to be expected
* This only works with LF2 2.0+ anything less will result in a crash
I plan to update the site to include these instructions however for now i'll post it here
If you experience an issue regarding "mswinsck.ocx" then download the provided Winsock 2 Library and extract it to the same path as the lobby or your system folder
mswinsck.ocx is no longer required due to improvements in the program
When you join a game and everyone is ready take note of your position in the list e.g. if you were the second person to join then in LF2 set your controls for player 2
It's also very important that you don't have LF2 running until the program says to do so if LF2 is running before you join a game it will crash
Once the lobby is ready for you to start little fighter 2 you must Connect to an Opponent for the address use 127.0.0.1 once you press OK your name will turn green
when everyone is ready the host can click "Start Game"

awesome.. i was so waiting for this.. it truely makes me curious.. its not the possibilty of new kinds fighting which makes me curious.. its the lobby itself.. the code behind.. you just made my day.. and motivated me to learn more.. so that i am once able to make something like this as well... THANKS!

Server is down. We've figured out that when there are multiple games running, everything messes up
.However, when its one game , its amazing!!
The speed is awesome.Me phil and sandbag played and it was at like 85-95% full speed!!!
