ya, lol... wanna open such a thread, too
but dun't expect alot work from me in tha future, I actually only want to show this single drawing I made yesterday for a contest in another forum
Well, the topic of that contest was about Ecchi, so yah, I guess it's pretty kewl^^

^^ Just tried to animate a meele fighter combo... turned out pretty good, even though the body proportions are changing to much from frame to frame

yeah... I SHOULD draw more... but... I'm laaaazy, and it took me 2.5 hours just to finish that one... what a waste of time

uhm, I never actually watched a tut about drawing... just reading mangas itselfe... and I dunno how I learnt it, I just... could do it like this from tha start^^

Oooookay, I'm gonna comment on a few things. Phil, thy ruler hath spoken.
So, for a first try in the anime/manga/etc-category this looks pretty dang awesome. Seeing that you spent quite a bit on it shows that you actually thought of what you're doing. For sure, if you did a couple more, you'd nail down the details quite fast.
Now the bad side. I'm no expert at this but I'll feel so free to write down what I do not like. If you take the following into consideration, good for you; if you don't, I don't care. First thing is the right wrist. The forearm is a little too thick compared to the hand. Speaking about the hand, when I compare the two hands, I see that the fingers have different lengths on each hand. Perspective can't make up for this. Overall, the shading could have been a little better. I do prefer smooth shading on many levels over hard-edged 2-color-layout but this is fully my personal opinion.
Anyways, I'd like to see some more from you

about tha hands... yah right, the left one didn't turn out that good... about shading, mangas are usually cell-shaded, that means the shades are small and very sharp... you can compare it with other animes and you'll see that they don't make it different atall
