hi everyone!
inspired from manxeater, I experimented a bit with mspaint (still my favourite:D)
I made a new transparency-filter ( see attachment)

hmmm, they can become really useful for example if you want to create 3/4- or 1/4-transparency. Nice work :)

In Photoshop, you can set the layer mode to "multiply" which will treat the white areas as transparent and just make it black where the mask is black. Alternatively, you can color-select and go from there. I suggest you google a few tutorials that show how layers can be used ;)
