Looks much better then my first spriting try (not an april joke), but you're right; it doesn't look to good...

The hair is ok (may add a few mor shades), the mouth/nose aren't visible, the neck is may slightly to thin, the shoulders/arms look crippled and the legs... uhm... ähh... nvm ^^'

But besides that the shading of the shirt looks really nice ^^ And for a first spriting try it's quite good...

tried again(hopefully better) and didn't put anyone next to the base, better or worse?

try fixing the legs dude their twisted... and shade the hair.

RE: ForgetLatios's First Sprites - Jed37 - 04-01-2010

Good job on the first one's shading. Like Alblaka said, it looks awesome. Still, it's out of proportion, the shoulders are too low and wide, and the legs are too far apart, at a weird angle. Still, great first try.

By the way, happy fools day! (Even though my post wasn't a joke)

RE: ForgetLatios's First Sprites - Alblaka - 04-02-2010

No, stay first the first sprite, on that one you got some stylish hair (and as you know: LF2 chars NEED to have good hair... every char with crappy hair will be called crappy, exceptions are bald chars like monk).
Also the shading is better on the first sprite, though i would say the arm/shoulder proportion went better on your new sprites.

i think you should post all in 1 thread : " forgetlatio's sprite "
so change the name of this thread and post all in here

ok done that
btw, now i'll use paint.net+gimp(for blurring). realised i'm so stupid and the eyes were always wrong

Nice, but;
-Use a base and draw over it, the sprites' stance look 'broken' for me.
-Upload using a .png format for cleaner image.
Use photofiltre if you're a beginner. I still use it atm...
