Face attempt - Aquarelos - 04-02-2010

Hey :D

I am new and i need some help and advice.

Since im a beginner in spriting i need every critic i can get.

I have no idea how to get eyes in this face.

Or if the ear is to big :p

He has a Whip in his left hand.

But my main problem is the face.

And i have a problem with shoes too lol.

I would be happy if you could give me some tips.

I really want to get better for a bigger drawing :D

Try to combine and paint over the original faces.

But, hell this sprite looks pretty awesome.

This works for eyes too? i want to make my own.

Ah and what about shoes?

I dont want to copy them.

I want to make Puma shoes or something else xD

First off thank you :D

And i know it not the same as in the sprite its for a test because this i my first face

I can change it later to the correct direction.

And i can't really unstand the picture more words please.

Edit: I used Template as base.

This took me a lot of time and i dont even think its good.

What do you think? (about the shade)

the first one is shaded a bit too much, and second one is shaded too little. and you should really make a char out of that sprite^^ looks great, except the shoes are a bit off, and his shirt looks too tight, as well as his left shoulder. plus, that whip is a bit too short, maybe roll it up jn his hands and it will look longer^^.

Second one looks way better shaded. And make the shades in the face more "contrasted" since the shades aren't visible for me (at least only a bit).

oh amd i forgot, in the sprite, his eyes are blackish, whereas in the face, theyre blue, also, the shirt is smaller in the pic
