well for the first char it looks quite good!
Is the first pic the standing or the grabbing frame ?

The only thing that you should consider is to add more shading to the hair. Also, since you rotated the arms, head, etc in the second picture, you need to sharpen them a bit, atm the sprite looks kinda blurry. Still, well done for the first sprite

I agreed with BluePhoenix that you should consider adding some shading to ur cha hair.It will help him look better^^

not bad, but he looks a bit to fat!
make his a bit taller and edit the hairs like BP said, maybe make his tshitr color a bit darker, but more colorfull to get a bronzecolor.
