The old Art contest thread. - Whaat - 09-18-2010
So we have sprite contest thread so i thought about making art contest thread :o
So, idea drg.a.oth.no.exi.animl.:
Almost same that we have in sprite contest thread, but instead of spriting, you must draw (not gun
).You can use paint, Gimp, or any other computer programs, or draw it by yourself and then scan it to comp.
If you use that scanning thing, make sure that you make outlines clear (use pen(or anything that makes better outlines than normal pencil, or make them at comp with paint or other programs).
Requirements:
* One entry per member.
* Dimensions must not be bigger than 950x650. Atleast don´t make your entry super huge so evryone can see the entries, even with mini laptops.
* Your sprite must be related to the theme.
* You can make colored one, or not colored one (still one entry)
* You cant use an old drawing you already made.
Theme:
Death
Make anything that comes to mind about death, it can be reaper, skull, angel, h-e-l-l, heaven, god, devil etc.

Also, I don't like the senseless "I join"-posts. Look at Bamboori's 32px-game, check the exe-contest, the official LFE Tournaments... more appreciable are those that actually do enhance the contest. That being said, I'm interested in how this one will develop...

though when they do dimensions like-
lets just say... lauli might do his in 9999999x9999999...
so there is a difference if we can't see the enlarged size

Question: If we have an art piece in the works that may apply to a future theme, would we be allowed to use it as long as it is finished during the contest period? I have a few secret... (somewhat) art pieces that I am working on that I would like to add in to he contest.
Basically to simplify what I just said... Does the art piece have to be started after the start of the contest?
