The Fusion Thread - Apocalipsis - 04-15-2011

Ok, let's see if this gets some attention...

This is, obviously, a thread in wich we make and post fusions of sprites. These can be fusions of your own sprites or combination of other spriters' chars (if someone is against the use of his sprites, I will respect that and won't add them to the thread).

You also have to provide images of the chars who fuse. You can also add descriptions and names, if you feel like it.

I'll start with some sprites I did with the little time I had in this week (thought the designs up in some free hours in uni), they are combinations of my elemental chars Dave, Heat, Magnus and recently created Brisa. Then I'll edit this post to add your sprites and update the sprites already in, like in the Girl's Sprites Thread.

Meteora looks awesome... the rest... yeah.. they look good but its more of the same.

Meteora looks like what Brisa should have been right from the start, way more contrast and interesting design.. and balanced form.

Mistara is also quite interesting. looks like a very solid hand to hand fighter.

Yeah, I feel I did justice to the air/rock fusion... I may try different approches/fix some things on the other ones. It's fun and hard at the same time because the design of the chars that are going to fuse are very restrictive. For example, it was really hard to sprite Vaporius because of the color pallete wich includes red and blue.

Love the mask and chest thingy. Normally you put more detail on the blades (some very good shining effects), but it's not a big deal.
Removed the black background and added to first post ;D


Forgot to say, if you know how to provide sprites with transparent backgrounds, please do it guys, so everything will look in order in the first post (and less work for me :D).

Uhm, where is fusion? Only thing i see resembling smthing is new sprite's hair that looks only little lake Maple's, but where the göö did that cape come from D:

When I saw name of this thread I thought that it was to make real fusions (with DCing);or maybe a new fusion technique.

Anyways,these sprite fusions looks great.

@monolith: gogeta/gotenks didnt get those new clothes just like that. Its because the matamoran that thought goku the fusion dance wore them.

@apoc: really great idea. And ur latest sprites look astonishing. Shading is what i like the most, i have buncha fusion ideas that ill post later.

@me'n'mine: usually when fusing two chars u folow some sorta protocol to get the fuse right and not just add random clothes. When i fuse chars this is what i do usually:

- hair: lets take firzen for ex. His hair has FIRENS hair direction (which leans towards the back) + FREEZES spikey texture at the same time. I observed apocs sprites and am sure he did the same. So in general:
char1 hair direction+char2 hair texture.

- clothes: one important rule when fusing chars is: u never ever bring a new clothing one of the chars doesnt have. So u use clothes from the chars or twist then in a way you like.
Firzen for ex: freeze cape and shirt and boots...etc firens pants rope around waist...etc

hey apoc: i have couple fusions at my sprites thread, feel free to take those for now if u want... Until i make new ones.

I actually think Vaporius was quite good. The red and blue is nicely done. However most of your male character sprites are already awesome to begin with... he's just better than the rest, not mind blowing like your occasional female ones are.

Don't really see the fusion (which is a big deal in this thread, but not elsewhere)... but the arm muscles look like good practice, and its a good sprite in general.
