Unnecessary computer hard drive usage - Wiro - 05-15-2011

I just cleaned my computer of all kinds of unused crap and realized how much unnecessary stuff there was. Something that took an awful lot of space was psd-files of sigs and stuff, that aren't finished and have a lot of layers.
Then when I eventually had to empty the trash can, which due to the huge amount of crap it held, took more time than it'd usually.

In the meantime I made this
I found a similarity with trash on my computer and real life. As an example is my external hard drive, which is broken. It doesn't have warranty anymore and I don't know anyone who would be able to fix it. Probably some computer store could solder it, but it would cost as much as a new external hdd. On the other hand I don't want to throw it away cause it has a bit of value to me.

Now what kind of junk is hidden your computers?

much.
i barely sort out junk, and thus i can often search for several years old files i only made or downloaded for viewing them once and was too lazy to delete them afterwards.
cause of this, my pc slows down a lot... >_>

but if you upped an old file somewhere and lost it, i may still have it somewhere :P

My computer have only LF2 stuffs (Mods, stages, chars etc.)
Also there is a game "Heavy Weapon".This game has been in the same CD with LF2.It has some .txt files and I edited them and I won the game in some minutes. Now I don't play it.

This is the only thing unnecessary in my computer.
In fact I have WINNT (windows 2000) which I never use.I want to delete it,but I don't know how! Mad

(maybe this here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888023 )

Perhaps you could find a solution in one of those Google results - did help me when I had two XPs installed

I usually empty the trash regularly, so no big deal.

Tip:Maybe you could keep the shift key pressed when deleting junk.
Too much junk is a bad thing. I had so much junk that you would call me the TrashMaster! LF2 is a cool game that will keep you addicted. The more space you have the more uncategorised files and junks you have. I would put everything from uncomplete mods, etc in my drive. Not to mention everybit of game i can find. Pics, sigs, and 100 of New Folders! When i started to clean upi realised the junk i had was more than 10GB. It took me lot of time to delete all.
