[solved] levitate - KyuubiNaruto(FKN) - 07-24-2008 i want to make my characters fly without making a new character that can fly that has the same sprites and stuff how do i doo that i tried adding dvy: 550 to the stance walk run attack super punch rowing(on ground) and the special moves but i didnt work all that happened is i couldnt just and when i pressed attack at the same time as i pressed the jump button i jumped and i pressed the button to fly and i stood in the air for a second then fell to the ground..what do i do? RE: levitate - Lauli - 07-24-2008 You either fall into very deep depression or just realize that you HAVE to create a new character file if you want your character flying around. :P (if you still want to have the walking etc.) Why do you want to make a character fly anyways? RE: levitate - Roxas XIII - 07-28-2008 i didnt think i quite got what you wanted to do , but if you mean that you want to make a char levitate with some new frames , there's a char you can use as a DC help , i think it is called aeron or something , a char that levitates on the ground , i think long ago i tried adding his special frames to 1 of my chars and it worked perfectly ,he levitated and had 3 attacks in air , 7 attacks in ground , normal jump , and well.....it works . so in case you want the complete amount of frames with normal stand and in air... its hard to do so....(did anyone ever made something like it????) anyway , either just make a new char , or try testing aeron yourself and DC something samiliar..... (gawd i shouldn't write when its 4am @.@).. RE: levitate - Deus Ex Machina - 07-28-2008 OR you could copy ALL the frames and change their dvy's to 550 acoordingly. Though, instead of using hit_x: 999 you'll have to use hit_x: flyingstandingframe, And you can't just leave everything to the comp... All the next's and such will have to be modified. It's not a perfect method, but it works somewhat. (I'm creating something similar) RE: levitate - Drahcir - 08-03-2008 Tutorial 1--uses dvy:550 Tutorial 2--Windmill's method--goes just barely up and down RE: levitate - sadbhav - 08-03-2008 uh.... there is a ----Template Real---- char. It has 4 different forms and one of them can fly if I remember correctly RE: levitate - Deus Ex Machina - 08-03-2008 Yeah, Aquila from RNLF2 Clicky Flies all the time, except when hit by something. That's intentional, I believe. Drahcir, he knows how to make said character fly, but he wants to make the character a flight-only thing. That requires to either copy a char and use the state 8k transformation or the copying of all frames and modifying them. Personally I believe the easiest way would be to make a new character. Copying all the frames and modifying them would consume a great deal of time, because you really do have to modify everything manually. RE: levitate - Silverthorn - 08-03-2008 Easiest method: ask YinYin if you can take his DC code as a basis and do new sprites :P RE: levitate - KyuubiNaruto(FKN) - 08-20-2008 sorry i solved this myself(since you guys aviously dont know how) i did it without making a new character so...HA!!!!!! i did it RE: levitate - Deus Ex Machina - 08-20-2008 Wait a sec; you did what I suggested (post #4)? That's just wasting time Though if you're making a really big mod, then that could prove useful; one less data file. (Max is 100, Silva could probably change that though) |
