Hey, i was thinking about an sprites animations contest
and wanted to ask someone to start a contes like that
i would like to hear what you think about the idea?

not alot of pepole here know how to animate so there wont be enough animation i gess

god would you please stop making a "contest" for every category in spriting.. i mean comeone we have:
- anime sprite contest
- move contest
- SONIC THE HEDGEHOG SPRITING CONTEST
and you are all forgetting that all these "categories" or "themes" can be suggested at the "Sprite Theme Contest" held by alectric, and even if he is not that active someone else can run thing for him for a while.. dont get me wrong i am not trying to discourage you guys but i hate seeing sprite thread all over the place when they can be actually organized into one simple thread..
EDIT: you can just post it or pm alectric to make the next theme "animation of xyz..."

kind of i can understand u and on the other hand not.
u already pointed it out, alec isnt active, "Submit your entries before Wednesday July 20th!!" was the last deathline... disapointing, isnt it?
EDIT:
furthermore this is actually not a contest thread but he is questioning if he should do one and actually the contest he asks for is about animating and not spriting at all. If i got him corrrectly he wants us to do an animation with existing sprites, like the one by bashcrazy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruK9chXwtX8&feature=channel_video_title)

if its a GIF uploaded then it belongs to the sprite contest.. otherwise if a video like bash's then not..
