What is LF2Weekly

Please check the current information at http://lf2weekly.playsboard.com/
Just one reason; I prefer HTML over BBcode :P .

Neato. Just a thought - new channel is unnecessary if you have one with few dozens subscribers already. Also, the challenge is more achievement-ish oriented than speedrun, as it's already difficult enough to get to 10th surv stage in one piece. If you want a real speedrun challenge, make the requirement short - get to surv stage 6 crazy (only need to beat up to 5, timer stops the moment stage 6 blicks on screen) but do it as fast as possible. It might seem trivial, but you can trust me that it can be much more complex than it seems. ;)

RE: YouTube Channel and 2-Weekly Contest - zort - 06-01-2012

  • Ditto on the neato. I'll be putting my attempt in THIS POST. 2.0 not 2.0a I guess?
  • My name is not ZortLF2 ._.
  • @Dixon: I think he doesn't want to get his own stuff mixed with this fortnightly not-entirely-his stuff. In other words, it wouldn't seem right to put this stuff in with his stuff, both from our perspective (because it's not his) and from his perspective (because his channel is for his stuff).
  • Dixon's right about speedrunning: the objective should be easy.
  • Idea for next challenge: speedrun Stage 1 Easy as Rudolf. Idea that probably won't get taken seriously: get as far as you can in CRAZY! Survival as Bat while only facing left (except for a few frames at the very beginning).

Dear people of the future: don't download this one, I have a better one about 10 posts down.

RE: YouTube Channel and 2-Weekly Contest - Kevin - 06-02-2012

@
I would be glad to upload it on my channel, actually. I thought you guys will object though, because then I'm kind of claiming it's my video, not ours :P . Ah.. yeah, maybe the objective should be easier. Next time I will do it. So you can post your ideas for the next week too, Dixon :D .
Oh, I know. Even I forgot, lol. OK, my idea for the next week is Mark Survival on Difficult without drinking any milk.

@Zort: Ah, hahaha. Your name is ZortLF2 on Skype and that's what I remember more than your LFE name :P .

btw: if you guys agree to upload the videos on my channel, I will be glad to, since it'll popularize my channel ;p . I just thought it would be unfair.

I'm thinking of a video that features 3 of the best records. The records are played in a random order, with a commentator (or two? with Skype, we call and start the recording at the same time). So it's like the second player is trying to beat the first player, and the third trying to beat the best. But it's if the 3 best are close enough :P .

RE: YouTube Channel and 2-Weekly Contest - dixon - 06-02-2012

Of course it's OK. I know how long it takes to popularize channels, so it really is no problem at all. ;p
Besides, coincidentally, I also upload works of other people to my channel to popularize them, even though it's of a completely different game.

RE: YouTube Channel and 2-Weekly Contest - Kevin - 06-05-2012

I got 6:39, was really lucky, lol.
My friend got to Stage 7.
Gogo Dixon :D I've seen some great GIFs from you, I expect you to be a really good player :P

And the other players aren't interested? Well, maybe the next week's challenge is better since it'll be a result of gathering ideas & voting.

EDIT:
I have decided to use the new channel instead of mine. It'd be fairer, maybe some people will disagree if I use my own. Also, the channel would be more dedicated for it, so it's easier to manage and more convenient for subscribers (coz my channel is partly about Tetris too).

Also, someone may be able to contribute as an uploader since my uploading speed isn't so good :P . Or as commentators, then they can upload the video themselves. I can give the username and password to trusted friends. I can't do it to my own channel XD .

RE: YouTube Channel and 2-Weekly Contest - dixon - 06-06-2012

Lols, I 'was' a good player. Not anymore. :P

Don't have much time, got some university junk to do so no promises. I'll be free since 13th for a few months though.

RE: YouTube Channel and 2-Weekly Contest - Zelphir - 06-07-2012

Nah I wont participate, at least not with Template, look at this recording: Link
Ultra Davis knowing everything before I do it, on key input reacting Firen+Deep and no bottles left after Stage 4...
This is how the bots play against me!
At the end I somehow could not defend and did not take it seriously anymore. And that one time I tried to Jump Attack the Bandit? Ofc his bottle is empty just in that moment and I get the full combo in my face... This is not fair anymore -.-

RE: YouTube Channel and 2-Weekly Contest - Kevin - 06-07-2012

loll well I guess the challenge is far too difficult for a speed-run challenge and template may be quite boring
against that Firen you were unlucky yeah ;p .
I thank you though because you upload a recording as well.

So far, the ideas for the next weekly challenge are only:
- Speed-run Stage 1 Easy with Rudolf
- Survival on Difficult with Mark without drinking milk
- Beat as many Firzens as you can in VS Mode (all enemies must be in the same team) using John, in Brokeback Clif. Winner is the one who beat the most Firzens, or if needed, the one who do it with minimum HP Loss.

or.... heck, xD correct, I won't take this seriously, but here it is
- get as far as you can in CRAZY! Survival as Bat while only facing left

RE: YouTube Channel and 2-Weekly Contest - zort - 06-07-2012

Well, heck, we don't seem to have any preference, aside from Kevin not liking the facing left one. Let's do them all, in any order.
