LF2 network protocol - Som1Lse - 09-14-2012 I've been wondering lately exactly how the LF2 network protocol works, so I wrote a program that connected to LF2, and logged all data send by LF2. It always starts with "u can connect", then there is a lot of gibberish and then, nothing (probably because my program doesn't send any information back). The "gibberish" is basically a lot of characters, that I am unable to see any kind of pattern in, and therefore I am asking for help. So my question is, does anyone know what the gibberish is? RE: LF2 network protocol - Boop - 09-14-2012 Do you mean the 3001 byte packet? It's used for the random seed. It also might have something to do with checksums to make sure files are the same (since thats the only packet that could contain that information). The exact structure of the packet is unknown. |
