Security - InPhiKnight - 09-16-2012 Security for logging in our account is very less. When we log in from another computer with another IP we must be asked with a series of question like "what is the name of your favourite food?" etc which we have set in the user CP. Is it possible to improve the security? ![]() Give that optional. RE: Security - Kashif - 09-16-2012 yeh thats nice but i will increase the laziness in me RE: Security - InPhiKnight - 09-16-2012 (09-16-2012, 06:11 AM)Kashif Wrote: yeh thats nice but i will increase the laziness in me It could be optional! RE: Security - MnM - 09-16-2012 Facebook related concept. Please be prepared for banhamma. I say No to this Idea :/. Please put up a poll. @V : Its simply meaningless atleast to me. I think no one gonna Hi-jack your account by any-means and you think BP left us in the wild to fear about? And Its not going to profit them(hackers) anyways. I think Admins can track IPs so are global Mods. If you have any problem you could contact them. And are u going to different houses and log in to forums ? I wouldn't do that, thats why I have my mobile-phone. So yea.. to me its meaningless. RE: Security - InPhiKnight - 09-16-2012 (09-16-2012, 06:44 AM)Men'Mine Wrote: Facebook related concept. Is it possible to improve the security? Possible: yes. Usable: highly doubtful. After all, most people's IPs change on a frequent basis. Example? So far, you have logged in with 89 different IPs. Which one is supposed to be the reference IP so that you won't have to answer these extra-questions? I guess you see the problem, this just isn't feasible. On a related note, though: you can do anonymous/private browsing where your browser will not save any data. I suggest you to use that when you log in where you do not trust the source. Also, general rule: never tell anyone your password and pick it in a way that somebody cannot guess it within 3 tries. Basic stuff, really. I just wanted to say it ![]() RE: Security - Alblaka - 09-16-2012 This is a darn single, small forum with no real worth linked to any of the accounts. If you're talking about a xxx$ steam account or your WoW account or something, your suggestion would probably hav some sort of usefullness to it. Btw, Facebook got such a measure? What for? Everyone can buy all your data you enter there either way, they don't need to hack you account to do it :P RE: Security - InPhiKnight - 09-16-2012 Ok! This kind of security is not required. I am marking this solved. |
