Stacking boxes - Deus Ex Machina - 08-23-2008

I'm trying to have the boxes stack... At least two boxes at a time.
But they just bump into each other...

Code:
<frame> 20 on_ground pic: 5 state: 2004 wait: 0 next: 20 dvx: 550 dvy: 550 centerx: 29 centery: 56 opoint: kind: 1 x: 29 y: 56 action: 50 dvx: 0 dvy: 0 oid: 262 facing: 10 opoint_end: bdy: kind: 0 x: 29 y: -2035 w: 48 h: 100 bdy_end: bdy: kind: 0 x: 1 y: 19 w: 46 h: 15 bdy_end: bdy: kind: 0 x: 11 y: 10 w: 36 h: 50 bdy_end: wpoint: kind: 1 x: 29 y: 60 weaponact: 17 attacking: 0 cover: 0 dvx: 0 dvy: 0 dvz: 0 wpoint_end: itr: kind: 2 x: 29 y: -2035 w: 100 h: 100 vrest: 1 itr_end: <frame_end>

RE: Stacking boxes - YinYin - 08-23-2008

try a kind2 opoint

RE: Stacking boxes - Deus Ex Machina - 08-23-2008

Waht does it have to do with the opoint...?

RE: Stacking boxes - Silverthorn - 08-23-2008

kind: 1 activates something as a totally free object. kind: 2 creates an object that is being held by a wpoint. Like Freeze's sword, for example.
Yesterday I messed a bit around, but obviously it didn't do what it should, I caused a funny chain reaction when the boxes were hit by Henry's arrow :P And the graphics looked weird...

RE: Stacking boxes - Deus Ex Machina - 08-23-2008

But the opoint doesn't do anything -_-
I don't even have object id #262.
What I meant is that I want boxes to be stacked when thrown onto each other.

you want do make a tower, huh?

Then use laulis platform idea for a box- then it might be possilble to throw a box upon the other!

(or do you mean stuck together?)

oh, gotcha :)

You could either make it with Lauli's platform technique or w/ itr(k: 3). Since the itr(k: 3) works in any type, you could use it for weapons. From there, a box will "grab" the box laying on top of it and hold it with a cpoint. Not sure if this will work if you're working with more than 2 boxes but I think it's worth a try :)

Have you ever seen Louis making his D^J with a box? Even if itr/kind: 3 works with every type, only type: 0 objects can be catched.
Or am I wrong?

you are not

RE: Stacking boxes - Hypermodder - 08-23-2008
