LF2_Kate stops working - borandbro - 12-29-2014
Hello to you all, this is my first post.
So the problem is that every time I tried to use the special move of Freeze like Ice Blast. The game immediately stopped working when Freeze was about to release Ice Blast.
It said : Kate-LF2.exe has stopped working
Moreover, I have noticed that the problen occurs when other characters try to use the special moves too !
Please help me, whoever knows how to fix this.

Have you tried using opening the game using LF2 2.0a's lf2.exe instead of the modded lf2.exe file?

Since you suggested the game's exe is modded, wouldn't that mean using the original LF2's might break other stuff in the game?
My guess is that "Kate LF2" is one of these mods which you install over an original version of LF2. Perhaps you've installed the mod over the wrong version of LF2, and since there is some differences between both 2.0's and 1.9's files, it just crashes.

Edit: Tried again, one of Freeze's moves made the game stop working.

Yes, Freeze's ultimate move made the game crash...but just replace the "lf2.exe" in the LF2 Kate file with the official version's "LF2v2.0" and it will work perfectly..

I have been threw this many times.
First I suggest you some of these options. try any options,
1.Copy a lf2mode like lf4 turbo etc etc and past it to lf2kate. many files will be existed so skip those.
2. Or go to lf2kate data readme,open it. then delete some unneeded datas.
3.This is the best way, Get lf2 1000 Objects exe, Patch it with lf2 ultimate patcher.Click every options without clicking (game sound is turned off) and (load dill).
when patching is finished then copy that exe to lf2 Kate. then start playing.
if Any of this options doesn't work singly so do one by one.
oh forgot to tell another thing After doing all my options if the game gets crashed so delete frieza character and Freeze's powers data files Then it will work I am sure.!!!!!
